Back when I was in high school in Sacramento, I only listened to two radio stations: KSFM 102.5 and 108.5 (I think). Early on I listened to 102.5 which was a Top 40 station. They had a Morning Zoo, much like any other station. Later on I listened to 108.5 which had a slightly different musical selection, although still Top 40. Years later, after going to college and visiting the folks, I found out that both radio stations have changed and I don't like their current music formats. I also listened to KNBR 680 out of San Francisco for sports.

In college, I got to listening to KIOI 101.3 which is a mainstream adult-contemporary station. I still listen to it, although now I also listen to a few other radio stations. I'm not a fan of morning shows, as they tend to have too many inane stunts and conversations for my tastes. Don Bleu in the Morning is not a bad show and I did use to listen to it when I had to go to work earlier in the morning. But now I don't have to.

Sometime about the time that I got a car in '95 I decided to listen to more radio stations, if only to fill out the presets better. So the first station I found was KKIQ 101.7, right next to KIOI. This has become my mainstream favorite radio station. It's the one that has the least frequency of annoying songs, making it the safest for me to listen to. I don't think they have a morning show, which is another plus. The station is based out of Dublin or so, which means it reaches well into Sacramento so I can listen to it when I go home.

I also added KOIT 96.5 I think. It's an easy listening station and I don't listen to it much. But they play some songs that I'd otherwise miss. Light love songs aren't played in the other radio stations that I listen to.

KLLC 97.3 I've been listening to for a couple of years or so. This is the closest to an alt-music station that I want to get. Most of the songs are good and more cutting edge than the others I have, but that also means that I don't like a good portion of their play- list. The morning show is also quite annoying, as Sarah and Vinnie are quite a whiny and inane duo. (Not whiny as complaining, whiny as in their voices are too high-pitched and bothersome). Oh, and the station should be called Lilac instead of Alice, the call letters don't make sense.

The last radio station on my car's presets is KYCY 93.3 (?) which is a country music radio station. Some songs I really like, some I really hate, and for the most part it's quite hit-and-miss. And yet somehow I force myself to listen through the bad songs and hope that the next song will be one that I'll like. Guys singing country music I don't appreciate that much, and that's a lot of country music...

Fantasy Football season is coming to a close, with only two games left. I'm in solid second with a 10-5 record, number 1 team is 11-4, one team at 9-6 and a couple at 8-7. I should win the next two games, although not guaranteed. Number 1 team should win their next two games, and that's almost guaranteed. Number 3 team may go 1-1 since they play a recently hot team. It's been entertaining and fun. Haven't gotten obsessed with it, thereby keeping my time wasted at less than an hour a week. It's fun to win games.
