So now Eric Fulton is playing basketball with us. Something about his doctor recommending he get more exercise and quit smoking. First off, Eric goes to the doctor? I really should get a checkup. Anyway, he's not going to quit smoking but he'll play basketball for his exercise. Eric is very bad since I think he's ever played, but he has a relentless quality and he learns quickly. Already after a couple of sessions he's getting to be a merely bad player instead of a hopeless player.

So now we can play two-on-two on Tuesdays when Dave Sweet can show up. On Tuesday we played five games, rotating partners to keep things interesting. Game 1 was Dave Woo and Fulton vs Sweet and I, probably the most even matchups. Game 2 was Woo and I vs Sweet and Fulton which still gives the underdog a chance. Game 3 was Fulton and I against Woo and Sweet and we're lucky to score any points.

Anyways, Woo's teams won the first three games. Then Sweet and I won a game and in the final game Woo and I won. That leaves the current score so far at Woo with 4, me with 3, Sweet with 2 and Eric with 1 win. After game 6 I expect Sweet to catch up with me, still leaving Eric at 1 win. Strangely, Eric plays better with Woo and Sweet than with me, maybe because I guard Eric unless he's on my team.

Kings won game 1 vs the Minnesota Timberwolves. Surprising win on the road, although now it looks like the Kings are playing with more intensity. I always think that the Kings are going to lose but they somehow play well on the road. It's just that individually they're not the greatest players or they're quite injured. But as a team they play better than on paper. Hopefully they can beat the Timberwolves but I still feel that they'll lose the series.
The final episode of Friends is tonight. It's been a great show. Witty and funny with some cool romantic plots. Really really really want to see Ross and Rachel end up together. The best part of a romance is the chasing and the fights and everything up to marriage. Then it gets boring, like Monica and Chandler's marriage. It was really interesting when they were hiding their relationship and trying to figure out if they were really in love. But their married relationship is less interesting now.

I finally got around to fixing the leaky toilets. All three toilets in my house were leaking. Apparently the flapper in the water tank is kind of cheap and didn't stand up to high-chlorine water from using an automatic cleaner. I looked up the information on the Internet and found out it was the flappers that were broken. Replacements cost like $2.80 each and it took a few minutes to replace all three. Woo hoo! Another simple home repair done by yours truly.

I'm slowly rebuilding my CD collection that I lost on the trip to Vancouver. BMG is way overpriced unless there is a sale, in which case it is merely expensive. Anyway, they sent out an email with a 50% off 48-hour sale with none of their exorbitant shipping charge. So I bought some CDs at about $9 each. A couple days later they send out another email with a new 50% off 48-hour sale. This time I'm not buying anything since I still have 9 free CDs to get and I don't want them baiting me into having to start buying CDs I don't really want. Very sneaky. There's probably going to be an even bigger sale to entice me. I remember Columbia House doing the same thing when I was a member.
