I'm a bit over half way done with the GURPS: Characters book. Just finished the Disadvantages section and I'm starting the Skills section. Meanwhile I'm firming up the MechWarrior conversions and I'm almost done with the Traits. I think the conversion rules are coming along quite well and the conversion is more exact than I expected or had any right to expect.

Hopefully I can get the skill conversions done by the end of Sunday. Then get most of the Campaigns book read next week so at least I have most of the rules read by the GURPS-BT session. Not having a really good grasp of the 3E rules helps here since I don't have a bunch old memories confusing me.

Played some basketball today. Fulton was sick but Dave was there. We played a long game of tip and a half-hearted game of 21. Not very much enthusiasm since Julie and Riley were there. Not that I resent Riley disrupting our game since I'm not a big basketball fan, but it did slow us down a lot.

We went to Fuddruckers, which is a hamburger place. One of their claims fame is serving big hamburgers, up to a pound. Other than being large it's not especially great tasting, but it is good. Really, a burger that big is just too hard to eat. Their basket of fries is not very large anymore, not like the old days.

I've really cut down visiting the RPG.net forums in favor of the Steve Jackson Games forums. It's nice talking about GURPS and it hasn't gotten busy enough where you start getting lots of flame wars. Signed up on the first day it was operational and after a couple of weeks I'm averaging a bit over 2 posts a day. Don't know if I can keep it up but at least I'm happy and participating.
