I watched a special on Live! With Regis and Kelly on VH1 of all channels. It was pretty cool and nice to see old clips of the show. I started watching Live regularly shortly after Kelly started working there full time. Before I had watched it only because some guest I wanted to see was on. It was right after Kathy Lee had left and during the months of guest co-hosts while they looked for a replacement.

Frankly (although I only watched a few of those episodes) I liked Lisa Rinna. Then again I don't think I saw any of Kelly's guest cohost appearances. I must say that Kelly turned out to be a great choice. She's beautiful, talkative, engaging. She comes off as being very funny and interesting. Capable of laughing at herself and making people feel at ease.

I only have three chapters left to read of the GURPS: Campaigns book, about 60 pages. And then I'm done. Read the vehicle rules. Only a few pages but combined with other rules there's enough detail to run BattleTech combat using the vehicle rules. It would be more of a roleplay-y combat than a wargame-y combat, but it would be doable and still have good flavor. Something to think about for my third BattleTech campaign. For now though I'll stick with the BattleTech rules.

Meanwhile we haven't played GURPS: BattleTech much, not for three weeks almost. Though it looks like we'll have three consecutive weekends to play. I'm getting worried, what with the shorter sessions and more frequent breaks, that it's going to be hard to keep momentum going in this campaign. I may have to move it to Sunday. But I really don't want to.
Looks like Christopher is not going to play Diablo this Friday. Could be end of his participation and back to the three losers. Still have another two or three months of play, at least, before we finish this current game. After that maybe Neverwinter Nights so I guess I should start looking for a cheap copy. Strangely the only Macintosh copy on sale on eBay is more than regular price on Amazon.

Or maybe we'll play a first-person shooter or something else. Or maybe even stop playing on Friday nights. We could always move it to Saturday nights, at least those nights when Dave and Donald are not around. Or maybe game late night since I only run until 21:30 or so. I don't know. Having more than one play day is kind of tiring.

We'll, after last week's dismal showing picking NFL teams, this week we have:

1. 49ers at the Saints: gotta go with my team here. I do think the 49ers can beat the Saints in New Orleans.

2. Browns at the Cowboys: I would say this is a no-contest win for the Cowboys. Frankly, this sounds like a boring game.

3. Dolphins at the Bengals: gotta go with my favorite childhood team, the Fish. I also like Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt, who is my second favorite active coach after Steeler's coach Bill Cowher.

4. Vikings at the Eagles: the Monday night matchup. Hmm, tough choice. I'll take the Vikings since the Eagles have the hated Terrell Owens.
