Friday night I stayed up late watching the Ocean's Eleven commentary track. I was just trying to stay up late so I'd get up late and hopefully mom would leave for her yearly Christmas gift thing without me. It worked because Christopher woke me up at like 11:00. Apparently he had hid in Steph's room so he also didn't go.

Dad, Steph, Chris and I went to Rice Bowl for Dim Sum. The place was already packed by noon with lots of people waiting for seats. Somehow we got seated rather quickly. I wasn't there but Chris said money was involved. Oh well, that's how it's done in more rough and tumble cultures. We had a small table for four and lots of food because there were food carts everywhere.

Chris gave out his gifts. I got a Targus Notebook Chillhub which is a pad you put your notebook on. There are two fans to blow air up onto the bottom of your notebook. The pad is powered by your USB port and it also functions as a USB hub with four ports. It actually does work fairly well in keeping my notebook computer cool even when I'm running at 100% processor usage with boinc.

Auntie Mien came over for dinner. We had prime rib with Christopher's mashed potatoes. Later they watched Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, a bit too loud. Then they watched the rest of White Christmas. I finished watching the Ocean's Eleven commentaries and copied some of Steph's DVDs for later viewing. Getting a bit tight on hard drive space.
Oh, Christopher fixed my old iPod. Actually he had Apple fix it. He went to the Apple Store and had them take a look. They couldn't get it to boot so they gave him a new one. Steph now has Christopher's 15 GB iPod which may be useful with her new car. Her car has a six CD changer mounted on the dashboard. It only shows a CD slot so you have to stick each CD in one at a time. At least it's more convenient than having a CD box stuck in the trunk like Dave had for his car. Anyway, with an iPod and an FM broadcaster she should be good. I'll give her mine which I didn't have any luck with.

I played a couple of hours of Elite Force II. Figured out the part I was stuck in on the Romulan base. There were three things I had to shoot and I didn't see the third one. Then I went through the rest of the base to get the location of the final planet. I went to the planet and have been working my way forward. I stopped at this part where it's me and a big monster in a not that big arena, with no health rechargers. Haven't been able to kill the monster yet.
