A look back at my 2004
Resolutions.
1. Upgrade my web site. Although I haven't finished I did get a lot
done this year. I merged in the older site. I merged in all the
writings I did from the old site. What I have left are a bunch of
collections which I expect I'll be done with by mid-2005.
2. Run my DC Heroes campaign through V2, Issue #75. Well, I only ran to
Issue #50 before I decide to drop that campaign for GURPS BattleTech.
By the time it ended I was well on my way to making my goal of 50
adventures in one year.
3. Pay of my budget debt of $1680.15. Totally failed here. Due to the
new PowerBook and some other expenses my budget debt is now at
$9148.54. Spending wasn't that bad since there is a 100% penalty for
spending over the budget. And this includes $700 in sales which was
used to defray some of that debt.
4. Exercise more. I may have exercised more but it was marginally so.
Fulton helped a lot by playing basketball with Woo and I. It makes
basketball interesting enough to play relatively consistently. Still, I
need to do more or just give up.
5. Work harder. Didn't happen. Roleplaying takes a lot of time.
Watching DVDs and reading books takes a lot of time. Working on my web
site takes a lot of time. In the last month or so I have gotten myself
to work at least consistenly two or three days a week. I don't know.
I'm getting bored of work or something.

That was it, five
resolutions. Seeing how much I'm failing it's I wonder I do these at
all. Dave doesn't because he has some weird reasons. Even if I don't
achieve my resolutions, at least I have goals to compare how well I'm
doing. It's like having a budget. You can say "I'll spend less" but
unless you have a budget and record your expenses you will most likely
fail. Even in not meeting a budget you can see where you are coming up
short and work to improve those areas.
