GameSpy: Katey, you've played some strong women before. Do you see any parallels between your character in Lords and any other characters you've done?
Katey Sagal: Well, I'm always playing the regal captains of things. I mean, Lila in Futurama was the captain of the ship, though I've never actually played … well, she looked like sort of a gladiator gal. Yeah, for some reason, people always hire me to be in charge. I'm not sure why.
GameSpy: Ron, do you have a preference between acting and voice work?

Ron Perlman
Ron Perlman: Well, it's all acting. It's just different forms, different formats of calling upon the same skills, basically. Obviously, with voice work, you're doing a lot more in a shorter period of time. The process is quite different. You're going for broke. Particularly in a game setting, where you're trying to manipulate the players in order to challenge them, or to help them get to the next level, or to prevent them from getting there. So there's a lot of manipulation going on in all voice work. And a lot of result-oriented stuff, which I love because it's big and bold and brash and no-holds-barred. I tend to make large choices as an actor, so cartoons, video games, all kinds of voice work are real dear to me. It's like a great meal. I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.
GameSpy: So are any of you really into video games?
Hudson Leick: I once played Gauntlet for a week solid, with very little sleep. Not a lot a lot of bathing was involved during that week. Nor food. Nor did my friends enjoy being around me. And when I finally won the game, I had to put it away. I have not played any games since. I'm a total addict. Can you do a game like Lords Of EverQuest in moderation?
GameSpy: Well, each section has a beginning to end, and should take about 30-45 minutes. So when you've done, you can stop. Or you can play another round.
Hudson Leick: Oh, that's interesting. It's like a commercial break.
GameSpy: How about you, Katey? Play much?
Katey Sagal: No, but my fiancé is a writer, so he plays all these games.

Katey Sagal
GameSpy: How about your kids?
Katey Sagal: I let them play computer games. They're seven and nine, they're young, so they don't play this kind of game. They don't play anything that really blows up. Though my little guy has been playing the Hulk game lately. But this is kind of a war thing, they don't play that.
GameSpy: What about you, Keith?
Keith David: I rarely play them myself, but my son plays all the time. I play with him sometimes.
GameSpy: Are your kids excited that you're going to be in this game?
Keith David: Oh yeah, especially my son.

Hudson Leick: I think my sister and my brother-in-law kind of enjoy the fact that I'm doing voices on video games. He's a computer geek, and he actually worked on Finding Nemo, so I think they find some joy in the fact that my voice is on a computer.
