I took a lot more movies during this convention than
before.
Mostly because I already have pictures of Ms Leick and wanted
some motion, to show what she does on stage. Unfortunately, the
movies are *very* dark. 1/15 s shutter speed is awfully fast
unless there is a lot of light. Now I know why movie sets have
big and hot spotlights. When I learn iMovie better I'll try to
brighten up the movies a bit.
Many of the pictures also came out dark. I used
PhotoDeluxe to
brighten them up a bit. Then I thought better of it and only
brightened up the smaller pictures, otherwise you lose data.
But a half dozen of the originals have been brightened. The
pictures and movies should be in chronological order, judging
by their creation dates.

frames per second, no sound.

The USS Defiance is
a Star Trek and Science Fiction club in the Sacramento area. They
provided volunteers for the convention and did an alright job keeping
things in order. But the volunteers were a bit lax at times and let the
crowd get away with a bit too many things. Some people complained about
that, and the same people have complained when the convention workers
have been too strict. You just can't please some people. [Full]

The Hudson Leick
Official Fan Club table. Webmaster Wes Reiser and Assistant Webmaster
Mike Ownby flank omnipresent convention-goer Kevin McIe. The posters
and notebook computer displays and other items are quite elaborate and
a great effort by the HLOFC to organize a quality fan club table.

A shot of the
convention crowd. This is during one of the many non-guest activities
so there are still quite a few empty seats. People are outside looking
throught he photograph table and the dealer room and eating. I've been
to three Creation Conventions and they've each been sized for about 500
people, but those have been the smaller regional conventions. The big
Hercules/Xena convention in LA runs 4 days and has a huge number of
attendants. [Full]

There's always a
photo table with lots of 8x10 and larger glossies. A good time to pick
up on photos that you don't have. In the middle of the line you can see
Kevin McIe, with Mike Ownby behind him (and practically hidden), and
Christine Jarosz behind Mike. Christine is the nice woman who I gave my
extra tickets to. [Full]

This first movie is of Ms Leick just after she reaches the stage. She
walks
around giving people an opportunity to photograph her. Notice the
constant
flashbulbs going off.
