The other immortal appraised her stance before commenting, "What, not glad to see me? It's not as if I was the one who gutted you with a Hind's Blood-coated dagger, now is it?"

Callisto sent hate-filled glares at Strife, who refused to be intimidated by her obvious antagonism. With a final sigh, she sheathed her sword, turned around, and started walking away from the God of War's nephew.

Strife ran up to catch up to the Goddess and matched her pace. "No snappy repartee from the Goddess of Glib One-Liners? That's incredibly surprising. Astonishing even. Apparently death has mellowed you out. I'm not too sure if that's an improvement or not -- you had more of a dangerous charm before."

Her chatterbox companion hadn't yet noticed that gleam in her eye; the slow burning fuse that was about to explode next to him. He continued, "I must say that death hasn't diminished your voluptuous beauty. I often ask myself why we didn't get together, you know? Two Gods doing the things that only two Gods can do-URK!"

The darkly attired God found himself flying through the air as a kick from the blonde fury sent him off. She stalked over to him and pointed her sword at his chest. "Shut. Up. Or. I'll. Spend. Eternity. Torturing. You." threatened the young Goddess to Oblivion's other resident. With that done she turned and stalked away, leaving a fearful Strife in her wake.

She didn't really think her threat would work for long, and indeed the mischievous God came back a short time later. This time he kept his distance as he talked to his killer.

"You know Callisto, we don't have to avoid each other. We're the only two Gods in this desolate realm and it can get awfully boring if you don't have someone to talk to. Besides, I have a few questions I've wanted to ask you."

Perhaps death had done something to the malevolent Goddess, for Strife's suggestion was beginning to appeal to her. She stopped and looked at the other God. "All right, let's talk," she said with a wicked smile. "We'll trade questions."

"Why are you here?" asked Ares' kin. "Who killed you?"

"Both the same question. That evil Xee-nah killed me with the same Hind's Blood-coated dagger that I used to kill you. I was gloating to her about Gabrielle's death and she stuck me like a pig," answered the blonde Goddess calmly. "My turn. Why are we still conscious? Oblivion was supposed to be Nothing. This isn't it."

Strife gave her a surprised look. "You don't know? Well, I suppose you wouldn't being that you're not a real God. I doubt any of the other Gods would have told you..."

"So you tell me," demanded Callisto.
