Four high school girls fight back when a mysterious teenager enters
their lives. Maddy (Hedy Burress) is the photographer, Rita (Jenny
Lewis) is the awkward one, Violet (Sarah Rosenberg) is the slut, and
Goldie (Jenny Shimizu) is the druggie. They're sexually harrassed by
the coach and shunned by the other students.
Then Legs (Angelina Jolie) walks into their lives. A runaway and
drifter, she encourages the girls to fight back. Of course, that leads
to a one week suspension for the girls, who decide to join Legs at an
abandoned house and start some sort of commune. Things go from bad to
worse when the football players want revenge for what they did to the
coach. And then the law steps in and the movie sort of ends.

Maybe I wasn't
paying enough attention but "Foxfire" is kind of a
boring movie. I think it's a coming of age movie but there wasn't much
drama to it. It sort of moves from scene to scene and even the nudity
is boring. Part of the problem is that I couldn't quite empathize and
root for the protagonists.
Actors
Yeah, I think only rented this to see Angelina Jolie. Once again she's
the bad girl and once again is fairly good at it. Hedy Burress I
remember from "Boston Common".
DVD
There is a theatrical trailer and Jolie's bio (but no one else's).

I cannot recommend this film, for any reason. |
