Teaser

South Park is a small midwest town in the US, populated by people who embody the ridiculous in America, as well as having large round heads. This is the story of Stan, Eric, Kyle and Kenny -- gradeschoolers who sneak in to see the new Terrence and Phillip movie "Asses on Fire". They learn enough foul language to make Mother Teresa blush (and she's dead folks).

Mothers are outraged and naturally blame Terrence and Phillip, both Canadian. Canadian authorities don't see what the fuss is all about so the mothers lure Terrence and Phillip to the US to appear on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Once those two are arrested, Canada retaliates and soon both nations gird for war. Only the four kids can avert the senseless slaughter and stop Satan from bringing Hell on Earth.

Movie

If you've watched South Park then you know what you're getting into. We're not talking about high art, or even well drawn art. There's a certain primitive style to South Park, but that's ok because the whole concept is about kids doing adult humor and not getting it. What's different about this movie is that it's a musical and they can use words and phrases that they can't get away with on television.

It's a fairly funny movie. There are some gross and objectionable parts to it, but again if you've watched South Park that shouldn't surprise you. The pacing is fairly good and the songs are entertaining. All in all it was a fun movie to watch and definitely deserving of an R rating.

Actors

Voice actors. Can't say too much about that.

DVD

No features other than three trailers.

Recommendations

If you like South Park or adult comedy it's a must see. This movie is not for the easily offended.
