Sandra Bullock plays a tough tomboy FBI Agent Gracie Hart who has to impersonate a beauty contestant in the Miss United States Pageant in order to apprehend the anarchist criminal The Citizen. Benjamin Bratt plays FBI Agent Eric Matthews, partner and love interest. Michael Caine plays Victor Melling, her beauty contestant coach. Candice Bergen (Kathy Morningstar) and William Shatner (Stan Fields) play the Miss United States hosts and organizers.

It's a basic feminist woman learns that being pretty and nice doesn't mean being weak. Meanwhile Agent Hart gets to use her street abilities to good effect during the beauty pageant. It's a comedy with lots of funny moments but for some reason I wasn't really impressed with the overall story. I would have liked more undercover situations. They didn't seem to take advantage of the "tough FBI agent posing as a beauty queen" angle.
DVD Special Features

1. Commentary track with Sandra Bullock and Writer Marc Lawrence. This is a good track and Bullock is quite funny.

2. Commentary track with Director Donald Petrie. Kind of boring and run of the mill director's commentary.

3. Featurettes: 20 minutes of behind the scenes, including a couple of deleted scenes and a few outtakes.
