Heist is a caper movie starring Gene Hackman as Joe Moore. Joe's crew consists of Bobby Blane (Delroy Lindo) and Don Pincus (Ricky Jay) plus occasionally Joe's wife Fran (Rebecca Pidgeon). After being burnt (i.e. he was captured on camera) in his last job, Joe is pressured to do one more big score by Mickey Bergman (Danny DeVito) and Mickey's nephew Jimmy Silk (Sam Rockwell).

The last job is to steal a chestful of gold bars from a cargo plane in broad daylight while the plane is getting ready for takeoff. The complication is that Jimmy is part of the crew (against Joe's wishes of course) and that Joe knows that Mickey is going to backstab him once the job is done. Add in a couple of plot twists (perhaps one too many as I thought the ending was "how the hell did he anticipate **that**) and you have a well-done caper movie.

The acting is good. The caper plot is good. There is very little else in the movie to get in the way of the main plot. There are no extras on the DVD other than the theatrical trailer. Overall an interesting movie.
