The Sea Serpent gazed down upon the four knights.

Sir Wrigley spake "Surely, mighty Sea Serpent, thou wouldst not want to anger the Black Knight because thou didst not let us cross this lake. We only want to ensure that the Black Knight gets what he is entitled to."

The Sea Serpent gazed down upon the four knights.

Meanwhilst, Lady Kyle restrained Sir Finch the Honest, who didst not approve of the other two knight's tactics. But he had the Quest to keep uppermost in his thoughts, and so Sir Finch said nothing.

Finally, the Sea Serpent spake "Thou mayeth cross the lake." And saying that, the monstrous creature sank below the surface of the placid waters.

The four devious knights crossed the lake undisturbed and arrived at the the entrance to the Black Knight's castle. A door opened and a faery lady bade the four to enter and enjoy the Black Knight's hospitality. The foursome entered and were led to a feasting hall, where the Black Knight sat at the head of a great table.

"Sit and enjoy my hospitality" sayeth the Black Knight to his visitors. Much and splendid foods were laid upon the table. The four knights watched as the faery lady sat beside the Black Knight. "You have already met my wife" sayeth the Black Knight.

The four knights sat down at the table, and they noticed that the Holy Grail was on display. The Grail glowed with a soft pure light, and other lights flickered on this most fabulous of treasures.

"Tell me, Sir Knight" spake Sir Finch to the Black Knight. "Why didst thou take the Grail from its rightful owner, our good King?"

Silence fell upon the room. The Black Knight fixed his gaze upon Sir Finch. Sir Finch calmly locked stares with the Black Knight. Sir Finch's companions readied themselves to spring into action should it prove to be necessary.

Finally, the Black Knight spake to Sir Finch.

"Long ago, when your present King was but a child and his father ruled the land, that King banished my wife and her family back to the faery lands whence they had come so many years ago. I was but a child back then, but I had fallen in love with my future wife. Whence I became a man and was knighted, I saw that I now had a chance to bring her back."

"But how is the Grail involved?" spake Lady Kyle.

"The Grail is a key to the Gate that leads to the Faery Lands. With the Grail I opened the Gate and travelled to those lands whereupon I found my heart's other half. Now I have no need for the Grail and thou are free to return it to your King. I have no quarrel with your lord, and only want to be left alone."

With that, the four knights found themselves back outside the castle, the Holy Grail at their feet. The brave foursome took the Grail and returned to their King. And that is how the Grail was recovered by the youngest four knights of the land.
