Paint Scheme

Lindon's Company employs a gray and red paint scheme. The unit insignia is a golden knight chess piece set over a circular blue field. The crest is painted on 'Mech torsos and fighter fuselages.

History

Captain Susan Lindon mustered out of Davion service after a dozen years of duty in the Draconis March. She immediately formed her own mercenary unit -- mostly made up of former associates from her military life -- and hired on with the Federated Suns on a five year contract in 3016.

The original Company was used as a recon force. Their missions involved probing Kurita planets and gathering intelligence over the course of several months. They have also been used for precision strikes and extraction missions.

Early successes and a little luck helped Lindon's Company grow to a battalion in strength. Captain Lindon has kept the unit's name the same and her friends have taken the top positions throughout the Company's higher ranks.

In 3020 Susan Lindon's youngest sister, Sarah, graduated from the New Avalon Institute of Science. Sarah's class was the second one to graduate from the new University, which was opened in 3015. Susan was able to get Sarah out of her required AFFS duty and into the Company by extending the Company's contract to ten years.

Sarah was given command of a lance in Stacy's Centaurs. She quickly showed an aptitude with operational strategy and her analyses were considered insightful and practically invaluable. Lieutenant Lindon was promoted to Captain of Bravo Company in late 3022.

In early-3023, Major Lindon and the rest of the Battalion Command Lance misjumped into Kurita space, near a planet in the Al Na'ir Prefecture. The lance was captured by the Draconis Combine, where they disappeared into the Draconis military machine.

The Federated Suns tried to repatriate Susan, but the Combine has reported that Major Lindon died in an accident as she was being transported to the Combine interior.

Devastated, the Company agreed to have Captain Lindon take command. Sarah refuses to accept the rank of Major, believing that her older sister is still alive somewhere in the Draconis Combine. Lindon's Company have done several missions almost gratis, in exchange for being allowed to investigate any clues to Susan's whereabouts in the Combine.

Personalities

Captain Sarah Lindon. Twenty-three year old Sarah Lindon graduated from the NAIS in the top 10% of her class. She has shown exceptional tactical and strategic knowledge. Although younger than the four combat Captains, she is respected by all of them and obeyed without question.

Captain John Frederick Thomas Jane is the senior combat Captain. He served in the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns for forty years and retired in 3015. Susan had served under John and asked him to join her Company as the Captain. He agreed to join but refused to command the Company, saying that overall command should go to the younger and more energetic generation.

Captain Jane is steadfast and cool under fire. His company likewise keeps its composure and executes their maneuvers precisely and with little chatter. He is the most moderate of the combat Captains and is seen as a grandfather figure by the others.

Captain Herbert Raymond McMaster, Jr. is the youngest of the four combat Captains at age twenty-eight. He graduated from Sakhara Academy in 3016 and served six years in the AFFS. He has distinguished himself by constantly leading his command into dangerous situations and leading them back out battered but intact. On missions, it is not unexpected to see his company abandon their assignments to pursue a 'target of opportunity'.

Captain Gwen Stacy leads the Recon Company. Captain Stacy served in the AFFS in Susan's lance, where they became best friends. For a Recon Commander, Captain Stacy is unusual in her willingness to engage in firefights with enemy units. She is an exceptional pilot and gunner and often leads the assaults. Her company's 'Mechs usually take more damage than the other companies, even though the company has lighter 'Mechs than the others.

Captain Phillip Morris is the picture of a dashing fighter pilot. He always wears his flight vest and usually sports a cap and scarf, making him look like an early 20th century aviator. He leads the Company's aerospace forces with bravery and elan, and has sixty-two confirmed aerospace kills.
