Summary
On Galtor:
The DCMS are retreating to their dropships. A rearguard regiment
consisting of battalions from the 2nd and 8th Galedon Regulars and
a battalion from the 2nd Amphigean Light Assault Group hold
a major road going over two hills. The 8th Galedon is ordered to
hold the forward hill, the 2nd Galedon has orders to hold the
2nd hill, the 2nd LAG is to support the other two battalions. Each
commander sees this as their chance to garner more glory now that
the campaign is almost over.
The lead battalion of the 4th Crucis Lancers is tasked with
capturing both hills. Major Louis-Philippe decides on a combat
drop near the 2nd hill, as the 2nd LAG has concentrated its units
on the 1st hill. The drop goes down without incident, but the
4th doesn't achieve surprise.
The Kurita units converge on the 4th, which fights its way to
the 2nd hill, routing most of the 2nd Galedon off the field.
The 8th Galedon and the 2nd LAG rush forward to get as many kills
as they can. The 4th starts taking serious losses, but their
efforts have pulled the Kuritans out of their defensive positions.
A frontal assault by the rest of the 4th takes the 1st hill and
the remaining Kurita units retreat.
In the after-action report, the 8th Galedon is commended on its
conduct during the battle.
The Blowfish:
A/1/1 company travels to Domain, in the Tamar Domains. Clyde and
Izzy start working on major design changes to Clyde's Awesome.
Izzy breaks his arm. Michelle gets another VTOL.
