____Background (-15)____
Assistant working at a top secret government lab on Island
City. He watched heros enter the program and less qualified
people get armed with super government equipment. He
volunteered for program after program but failed the tests
for reasons that were never explained and never got beyond
staff scientist.
As the years went by he would enter the secret labs and
learn all he could from the more skilled and privileged
scientists' experiments. As he learned more he would need to
spend time training to break into more and more high
security labs, so his own prototypes could get better.
Eventually his thief skills were high enough where coupled
with his base clearance he could access any of the more
powerful suits which intrigued him.
During this period he worked to refine his own suit
prototype by combining his own ideas and research around
absorption with the other scientists more generic work on
flight and protection abilities.
On December 5th he brought his suit into the lab and
presented it to his superior, ready to take his proper
place as a genius and super hero extraordinaire. Instead
his supervisor looked closely at the plans and realized the
design involved some concepts that could only have been
stolen, then imprisoned the suit and suspect Brad.
During the attack on Pearl Harbor a group of Japanese
super-villains attacked the lab in order to gain its
secrets. He donned his prototype suit to defend the lab but
failed from preventing the villains from destroying the lab.
All lab records were believed destroyed with the lab, so no
one knows the suit was ever created. If anyone closely
investigated the plans and compared it with other work
coming out of the lab, they would see there are some
similarities that would be hard to explain away. Knowing
that there would be questions from investigators about the
lab attack and not knowing if any record of the suit
confiscation still existed, he decided to disappear.
____Description (-15)____
Attitude drags down looks of an otherwise normal looking
Joe. Clean shaven with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. The
powersuit is a dark blue all-encompassing armor that
attempts to mirror a business suit. Unfortunately being
made of metal causes anyone with a more than casual
inspection to realize the suit is not normal. Slung
underneath the right arm is a mini-canon and underneath the
left arm is the Neutralizer. Although somewhat bulky, the
armor does allow excellent freedom of movement. Brad
normally wears an overcoat to help disguise the suit
material.
____Personality (-15)____
The world has always conspired against Brad. Passed over
for promotion, saddled under incompetent management, always
loved less than his his older and younger brothers.
He always knew that he had the right stuff, he was a born
hero if only people would give him the chance. Everything
comes easy for others, Brad always has to scrimp and scrap
to get his just due.
Bitter and angry at the whole world: the Japanese for
killing his friends, the US government for allowing it to
happen, people in general for not understanding him. They
are all incompetent and it's up to him to save the world
from the Axis whether people realize they need his help or
not. One day the world will realize he was a shining
diamond hidden among the less qualified and noble heros.
"My motivation would be to prove myself. The world thinks
it can disregard me, but the jokes on them, because it
turns out I'm just as important and just as good as any of
your silver spoon heros and I'm willing to show it."
Is deeply ashamed that he must steal to live. His greatest
fear is to get discovered as a thief or to have stolen some
ideas from other scientists and not be the world renown
heroic figure.
