DC Adventures Campaign - Issue 1

Feb 20 2016 - Character Generation

GM Setting Info

  • San Francisco Bay Area
  • Present Day
  • Power Level 8, 10, or 12 (all PCs are same PL but group can decide) [ Players didn't seem inclined one war or the other so GM settled on PL 10 since Quick Character Generator does PL 10, the templates are PL 10, and most heroes and villains are about PL 10. ]
  • History can continue from previous DC Heroes campaign, in that case it's 30 years after v2. [ We decided to do this since Dave W is playing Rad's son. ]

Player Characters

Christopher - Decided on using Booster Gold with a different background. He's a super-fan of Power Girl and came back in time to meet her. Hero type is flying shooter.

Corina - Used the Quick Character Generation rules and rolled up a summoner with six robots. She's a scientist and Corina was thinking about how the robots arrive (are they always present? teleport in? little balls that expand into full-sized robots?). The robots can give her a lot of flexibility since they don't all have to be combat robots and she can summon new robot types using Hero Points. Hero type is gadgeteer.

Dave S - He came up with a concept first, a space knight come to Earth searching for the Galactic Holy Grail. As a basis he'll use Sir Justin for a model (a Round Table Knight who ends up in present-day Earth). Hero type is melee combatant.

Dave W - His character is Rad and Star Sapphire's son. He also used the Quick Character Generation rules but picked what he wanted and ended up with some sort of brick. Hero type is brick.

Sophia - Missed the session.

GM gave the options of either starting with an origin story or starting as an already formed team. No strong opinions though origin story seems to be what they want. GM is thinking of starting them out prisoners and in breaking out they can bond into a team.
