Events
Heroes move underground and fight a mind-controlled Reda Robotica. During the fight Sir Galahad notices magic from the next room and rushes ahead, Radson and Tek Titak in tow. Meanwhile Mystic S becomes obsessed with destroying robots.
In the next room Dr Destroyer threatens to destroy San Francisco with a home-made nuclear missile. Radson tries to destroy the missile. Sir Galahad and Tek Titan fight Dr Destroyer while something tries to mind control the heroes.
Sir Galahad senses the mind control beams coming from one of the four load-bearing pillars, but which one? Radson knocks down two pillars and guesses wrong. Mystic S finally walks in and says "it's that pillar".
Radson knockes down the third pillar, rescuing a trapped Psycho Pirate who was powering the mind control device. Mystic S strips the Dr Destroyer illusion revealing Lord Satanus. Before Lord Satanus can fight the heroes he holds his head screaming, a strange voice calls out "Rad, it's me, John. I'm trapped in Hell. You have to come save me!"
Lord Satanus recovers and teleports back to Hell.
Subplots
- A message from John Gilmore, who died in v1.25. Mistook Radson for his dad Rad.
GM Notes
I had this adventure written up somewhere but totally forgot it was on a wiki page [Issue 9 Adventure]. I did have stats written up in my combat spreadsheet so I winged it from there based on what I remembered, though it turned out a little different...
