Events


Teksters new base has lots of room to grow but it still needs a lab for analyzing captured equipment and personnel to run everything. For now Reda's Mincers run operations when they aren't doing other things.

Sir Galahad is sentenced to 1 year community service as a member of Teksters. Since he's here for the long haul Galahad requires a squire. Tek Titan takes him to a Renaissance Faire where he interviews applicants and decides on Suzanne, geeky Ren Faire enthusiast.

Just in time as it turns out when four people in unison declare Sir Galahad to be a Temporal Anomaly and attack. Galahad and Tek Titan are hard pressed as their opponents get stronger by the minute. Luckily the other Teksters in their secret identities are independently running their own stands at the Ren Faire. Also it turns out Jefferson Pierce works at a smithy stand and soon Black Lightning joins the fight.

The assailants manage to knock out Sir Galahad but before they can kidnap him Black Lightning sweeps in and carries him to safety. The last two assailants teleport out and when the heroes take a look at the two left behind they discover they are cyborgs! Tek Titan remembers there's that OMAC, a government agency back in his home time, is charged with patrolling the timelines and removing time travelers before they can disrupt history. Fearing for his secret Tek Titan decides not to reveal this information.

The heroes spend the next few days examining the cyborg parts but lack of facilities stymies their investigations.

Subplots


  1. The Mincers don't like doing menial work. A spark of resentment which might lead to true independent thought.
  2. Why did the OMAC cyborgs target Sir Galahad? Is he actually a time traveler and doesn't know it?

GM Notes


Idea for the combat was done by (1) choosing a random villain from Champions supplement Enemies (Revised) and (2) choosing a random PC. From Enemies I got Minuteman MK-V, which is a ripoff of Sentinels from X-Men comics complete with a similar organization and purpose. From the PCs I got Tek Titan. Combine them and we get Sentinels from the future hunting Tek Titan. Going through the DC Adventures books the closest equivalent is O.M.A.C.
