Events


SalesForce Tower is on fire. A four alarm blaze. The heroes, including Black Lightning (Riley) and Wildfire (Dawson), spring to action to rescue constructions workers trapped in the nearly-completed building.

On her way to the fire Reda sees a bank robbery in progress and is surprised to see that her friend Heat Wave. They both trained under the same evil master. Heat Wave killed him and they both got away.

After a bit of conversation Heat Wave and his Pyromaniacs fight Reda and her Mincers. Eventually Heat Wave is forced to set a car on fire so that Reda has to rescue the occupants but she does capture a Pyromaniac.

Later the Pyromaniac reveals Heat Wave uses Tweeter (the super villain version of Twitter) to organize flash mobs to do crimes. But he doesn't know Heat Wave's secret base.

On Facebook Mystic S sees a video of her changing into costume during the first Shark battle. She tracks down the poster and finds an obsessive fan. A fan who turns out to be Dwarfstar and he wants to kill her so that she remains beautiful forever. Mystic S almost defeats Dwarfstar who jumps out the window and shrinks to escape. She takes his home computer after erasing the hard drive.

Radson attends an operation at USCF using a new sonic wave device to operate on patients. During the operation Shark bursts in looking for Radson. They battle with Black Lightning and Wildfire joining in when the battle moves outdoors. Shark uses a power attack to take down Wildfire but Black Lightning uses the opening to knock out Shark. Radson returns the sonic machine but unknown to all the patient has been transformed into Vibe.

GM Notes


For the Champion's Enemies supplement decided to pick four random entries and have each associated with one of hour heroes. Last session it was Minuteman Mk-V for Tek Titan. For Reda I got Blowtorch, guy with a WW2 flamethrower. That naturally maps to Heat Wave and Corina came up Reda Robotica and Heat Wave are related.

Next up was Mystic S. I got Blackstar who can change his density to be super dense or to be desolidified. Didn't find anything in the DCA books that matches so I decided to reuse Dwarfstar. I also brought up Mystic S's subplot about accidentally revealing her secret identity. But the super fan part was on-the-fly based on how Sophia was playing it.

For Radson we have Vibron who can vibrate his body to do attacks or even pass through walls. That was an easy one to match to Vibe. I didn't want to do a straight up new super villain so came up with the sonic experiment to create more of a vigilante hero.
