Events

Mystic S remembers there's a security elevator and the heroes use it to reach basement level 3. As the doors open 16 minions attack, meanwhile a security bulkhead starts descending. The heroes dispatch most of the minions and Mystic S intimidates the rest into running away leaving plenty of time for the heroes to scoot past the security bulkhead as it closes.

As the heroes stand around a secret door opens revealing Kobra, Icicle and four (non-minion) bodyguards making their way from the base control room to a secret exit. A fight immediately erupts.

Kobra tries to fascinate Mystic S and fails. Reda sneaks into the control room and makes her way to the giant pearl hooked up to a cabinet. After what Icicle did last time the heroes use their surprise to beat up on him.

Kobra taunts Tek and demoralizes him. The bodyguards shoot at Tek and bruise him a bit. The heroes continue beating up on Icicle who keeps rolling well on Toughness but is once again Dazed twice and loses his turn. Reda opens the cabinet holding the giant pearl and grabs the pearl.

Power cuts out and the base is plunged into darkness. Kobra makes his escape, having previously memorized where all the furniture is placed. The heroes retreat with the giant pearl. Fight ends.

Later after the heroes regroup they return to find the base has been evacuated. Kobra and Icicle escaped though without the giant pearl.

Subplots

The City of San Francisco impounds the Kobra Design building. Pending a years-long trial Mayor Lee and his department heads secretly allow the heroes to use Kobra's base as their own. But what secrets does the base hold?
