One of the first Macintosh color games, I used to play this on my college roommates Mac SE 30. You're this circle and you want to pick up all the crystals on the level. When you do the door at the bottom opens and you can leave. Do it quickly for bonus points.

Bad guys come in from the side doors. You have one weapon: smart bomb that kills everything. Other than that you can avoid the bad guys and their shots.

This iPhone version has two modes. Classic is just like the Macintosh game. Modern allows you to shoot. (Actually there was a Crystal Quest Deluxe that I never played and maybe there you could shoot.)

Ten skill levels. Background music and sounds, at least some of which is from the original game (I don't remember background music).

You move with tilt or swipe and that's the biggest flaw of this game. On the Mac you used the mouse only. Move it fast and you move faster and there is inertia so it might be hard to stop. You still have the speed and inertia aspects but while a mouse allowed pinpoint accuracy, tilting and swiping do not. It's hard to play this game on an iPhone.

Still, only $1. Nostalgic fun. Well worth having.
