This is an unabridged version with no sound effects. Allyson Johnson has a clear voice and when Honor talks it sounds like what I pictured in my mind reading the books. Johnson is also good with the other voices and her normal narration voice is different again.

The compression is 96 kbps MP3 which is excellent for voice. It barely fits into one CD.

I do love this book so listening to it professionally narrated is the next best thing to an audio drama or a movie. Seeing the characters introduced again (after I've read all but the newest book in the series) is quite thrilling.
