Movie - Serenity (2005) [3.5] Continues from the cancelled tv series and completes one of the major story arcs. Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) puts his crew in danger to keep River Tam (Summer Glau) safe from the Alliance because it turns out deep in River's unconscious is a secret that might bring down the Alliance or at least spur a new rebellion. Movie - Godzilla (2014) [3.5] A fairly standard Godzilla movie. The human element is that Godzilla killed Navy Lt. Ford Brody's (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) parents. Now it's returned 20 years later although it turns out to battle other monsters that threaten San Francisco and Brody's wife Elle (Elizabeth Olsen). TV Show - Superstore #101 (Pilot) [3.5] America Ferrera and Ben Feldman star in this sitcom about a group of employees at a Walmart-like super store. Had some funny moments. [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstore_(TV_series) ]

Movie - Lucy (2014) [3.0] Science fiction-y movie where a young woman, Lucy (Scarlett Johansson), is exposed to an overdose of an experimental narcotic. Instead of dying her brain power jumps up and up towards 100% and as it goes up she gains reality-controlling powers. Even with Johansson the film is barely worth watching.
