Alto's Adventure is an endless runner with beautiful graphics and ambient sounds. You play Alto (or other characters) snowboarding downhill trying to catch llamas. The only control is tapping to jump and tap longer to turn your jump into a backflip.

Score points by catching llamas, picking up coins and performing tricks: backflips and sliding on lines and building roofs.

A bad jump will crash you. There are also rocks and chasms that you have to jump over. And sometimes an angry mountain man chases you and you have to do tricks to keep him from catching up and knocking you down.

There are a couple of powerups. A magnet that attracts coins and a feather that makes you levitate over rocks.

You levels. Each level has three achievements and if you do them in one or more runs you level up, which is how you unlock new characters. I've only unlocked one character, who accelerates slower than Alto but backflips faster.

It's a peaceful, hauntingly beautiful game.
