Sayonara Wild Hearts is mostly a racing/rhythm game. In most of the levels you are driving forward at a constant speed, moving left and right to collect pills and hearts, and sometimes tapping at the right time to avoid obstacles. All to a pop music soundtrack that goes very well with the game.

The story is that you are a young woman with a broken heart who has been charged by a cosmic trio to restore the balance by beating a bunch of other women. And along the way restore your confidence in love and life.

Animation and graphics are good. Soundtrack as I mentioned is outstanding and sometimes haunting. Game play is not easy since the camera is often moving, making it hard to tell where to position yourself to pick up the pills. No game controller support which would have helped I think.

There are at least a couple dozen levels and just going through the story is fairly easy since the game automatically resets to a previous section when you die and even offers to let you skip a section that seems to hard for you.

Each level has three point goals for bronze, silver and gold medals. A gold medal unlocks the level song so you can play it later. For the most part I could get silver scores, sometimes bronze, one gold and one no medal. Each level is set so you can memorize optimal play to get the gold.

It's not a long game to get to the ending. I did it in a few hours. But there is some replay ability. It's a nice story and fairly beautiful experience so well worth playing.
