The Party heads to the Bugbear Cave. Minotaur (Koobrax Greedsbane) exits his cave, throws a spear at the party, hits Thunder for 2 damage, then retreats back into his cave. The Party ignores the provocation and continues into the Bugbear Cave.
Once inside they make two right turns and enter the jailer's room with 2 male and 3 female Bugbears. Kit sleeps the females and the males are taken down, though Khidell is hit for 3 damage and two group luck is used to keep Thunder and Megalos alive.
Kit overheard a Bugbear say that this is all part of their plan. Sure enough the Chieftain and his warriors arrive, blocking the Party's exit path and willing to starve them out.
Most of the Party explores further finding two slave rooms and freeing the slaves, though some of them try to make a run for it and are cut down by the bugbears. Negotiations don't go anywhere.
Finally the rebel bugbear challenges the Chieftain for leadership and uses the beserker as his champion. The Chieftain gets a good hit in (10 damage) then the beserker hits for 12 damage then goes first and hits for 9 damage killing the Chieftain.
Wurg Horsebane becomes the new Chieftain, frees the former slaves and pledges to stop attacking the Humans. The beserker stays on as the Chieftain's Champion.
