Jonathan Miller (Democrat). (1) Fiscal Responsiblity, he supports it. (So what?) (2) Economic Progress, expand foreign trade. (3) Social Progress, Education, abortion rights, anti-discrimination laws. (4) Resource Independence, uhm, less dependence on outside power and water. ==> Nice words but no particular reason to vote for him over a professional politician. He doesn't resonate with me.

Scott A. Mednick (Democrat). This is all just a promotional tool for his micro-brew. He specifically asks people *not* to vote for him. At least he's honest.

Dorene Musilli (Democrat). Couldn't find a web site. I definitely won't vote for someone whose political stance I don't know.

Van Vo (Republican). Another person with no web site. I found one article on his running for governor, but it had no issues other than "lower taxes to promote more businesses in California".

Paul W. Vann (Republican). (1) Balance the budget. (2) Don't pay state legislatures while state budget is overdue. (3) "Fix" worker compensation (no details). (4) Automatic redistricting. (5) Stop legislature from misappropriating bond funds. ==> Well, I guess I agree with all this yet no compelling reason to vote for him over a professional politician.
James M. Vandeventer, Jr. (Republican). (1) Believes in Global Warming. (2) Pro-Choice. (3) Responsible gun control. (4) Same Sex Marriage. (5) Fiscal Responsibility (but who is really against this?). (6) Ethics and Integrity (again, who's against this?). (7) Amnesty for Aliens. ==> Don't agree with 1 and 4, 5 and 6 are too vague, 7 is not a state issue.

Bill Vaughn (Democrat). Apparently has a real beef with at least one building code passed recently (he's a structural engineer). ==> Err, running for governor is not the answer. Way overkill if you ask me.

Marc Valdez (Democrat). Freak has a blog! Not a good place for organized information. (1) Repeal Proposition 13 to stabilize budget. (2) Restrict H1B and L1 Visas. (3) Improve prison discipline by implementing pardons again. ==> Violently disagree with point 2.

Mohammad Arif (Independent). Garish web site (and he stole that banner picture from somewhere...). 18 point plan which I don't want to repeat. ==> What I don't like: (4) Driver's Licenses for undocumented residents (i.e. illegal aliens). (9) Decriminalize marijuana. (10) Allow Permanent Residents to vote.

Douglas Anderson (Republican). (1) Responsible gun control (i.e. less gun control). (2) Healthcare for the elderly is a Federal issue (which it is I believe). (3) Opposes driver's licenses for illegal immigrants. ==> Not really much of a platform, is it?
