Alex-St. James (Republican). No web site.

Jim Hoffmann (Republican). No web site.

Ken Hamidi (Libertarian). For a Libertarian he's got a fairly standard platform. But for some reason I find the Gray Davis animated gif to be a bit offensive and uncalled for. Yes it's free speech but political candidates have to be a bit more respectful of the opposition.

Sara Ann Hanlon (Independent). (1) Repeal all Worker's Compensation laws, business liability laws, and freeze California minimum wage until the Federal minimum wage catches up. (2) Only spend transporation generated revenue on transporation projects. ==> Repealing a class of laws unilaterally is probably not a good idea. I also don't like saying that we're going to restrict how government spends generated revenue -- less flexibility means less effective spending.

Ivan A Hall (Green). (1) Buy $2B in solar panels, install wind turbines. Jump start both industries and entice those companies to relocate to California. (2) Build more passenger rail tracks with exclusive right-of-ways for Amtrak. Make rail travel cost effective and enticing. (3) Up to 15% pay cuts for all government workers, increase taxes to the rich. ==> Although I agree with him, I don't think they are priority issues.

John J. "Jack" Hickey (Libertarian). (1) Dissolve all Special Districts -- these are special tax districts set up by local governments to levy taxes for specific uses -- use the money and lend it to the state government. (2) Hard to tell but it looks like he wants to sell all public K-12 schools to private interests. (3) Eliminate Sales Tax. ==> My immediate reaction is "Libertarian nut job".
Ralph A. Hernandez (Democrat). No web site.

C. Stephen Henderson (Independent). (1) Require a balanced state budget. (2) Eliminate Initatives (?). He doesn't want people voters to tell how the state should be spending its money. (3) Fair redistricting. ==> From his web page, he doesn't seem to take this seriously enough.

Art Brown (Democrat). No web site.

Joel Britton (Independent). No web site. From an article I found: leader of the Socialist Workers Party, bring all US troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq, other pro-workers issues. ==> Hey, I don't mind Communism, but it interferes with business.

Audie Bock (Democrat). But she's Green Party! (1) Repeal Car Tax. (2) Reform Workers' Comp. (3) Release most prisoners and use the money saved for education. ==> Eh? Focus is too narrow and low level.

Vik S. Bajwa (Democrat). (1) Give more money to local governments for education; (2) Reduce prison population; (3) "closing loopholes for outsourcing and shipping jobs overseas."; (4) Restrict agricultural importation; (5) Attract more tourism. ==> 3 and 4 are bad ideas. Instead of working to stop an activity, make the alternative more appealing so companies and people do it willingly.

Badi Badiozamani (Independent). Standard rhetoric. Repeal Car Tax (I have no idea why this is such a big issue). And why does everybody have US flag motifs but no California flags? ==> No reason to vote for him over a professional.
