Navy NCIS: My favorite new show. Mark Harmon (Agent Jethro Gibbs) is great as the guy in charge, marshalling his team and solving crimes in an "aw shucks" laid-back way. Sasha Alexander (Agent Caitlin Todd) is ok, though I liked the woman they used in the JAG pilot etter. Michael Weatherly (Agent Anthony DiNozzo) looks quite a bit different than when he as on Dark Angel. Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciutto) plays an interesting goth-chick tech-nerd. David McCallum (Dr Donald Mallard) is an inspired choice and plays the eccentric pathologist. I love JAG and Donald P Bellisario has created another appealing military television show.

Karen Sisco: An interesting crime show with Carla Gugino playing the lead role of a US Marshal. The Marshal service is not anywhere near as glamorous today as in depictions in Western movies. But at least it's different and not another "someone died, let's find the killer" homicide show. Theoretically the show's human aspect is Karen's unfortunate relationships in her personal life. I do like the show so far and Gugino plays a believably tough woman who is still female.
Hope and Faith: As much as I like Kelly Ripa and Faith Ford, this show is a rather typical sitcom. Not saying it's bad, just not different enough to stand out. Ripa plays Faith Fairfield, former soap star now living with her big sister Hope (played by Ford) and her family. It's a ditzy sister moves in and creates unintentional havoc that her big sister has to fix. I'll keep watching it because I like Kelly Ripa, though she's more interesting as herself.

L.A. Dragnet: Dragnet was retooled and made into another boring homicide show. Apparently the old-style film noire touches and voice overs were just not hip enough for their intended audience. Now there's a larger cast and Ed O'Neill practically blends into the background. After three episodes of the new season, I can't stand watching it anymore.
