More Mac OS X
10.3 notes: Apple DVD Player 4.0 now can resume DVD playing when you
start it up. It's a nice feature if you can't see a whole DVD at once.
A bookmarking feature would be nicer though. AddressBook 3.1 now has
relationship fields, so that you can specify spouse, family member, or
manager for each contact. Also, edit mode now stays on until turned off
-- useful when changing multiple records.
Today I'm sick. Not so much as sick as not feeling in the mood to go to
work. Sunday I was pretty sick and didn't get much done. Sheesh, why do
I always get sick on the weekend? Anyway I used today to catch up on a
few things and just relax in general. I'm pretty much done setting up
Mac OS X 10.3 for client needs, I still need to set up the server
processes.

I ran DC
Heroes at Donald's place last Saturday. Apparently he has a roommate
now, Phillip. Seems like an ok guy, though a bit too much of a software
pirate for me. He wants to copy Mac OS X 10.3 and is looking for a copy
of Toast. Eh, I barely know the guy. Seems friendly enough, though like
Donald he's not anywhere close to a neat and organized person.
I didn't install Mac OS 9 (and it doesn't come in the Mac OS X 10.3
package). I will once again try to do withouth Classic and see if it's
possible. And for the most part it is other than for old games.
Productivity software you can always update. But nobody (there are
exceptions) puts out new versions of the same game with the same
gameplay. If a game is reissued, it's usually a sequel so you seldom
get the original game to play in Mac OS X Cocoa or Carbon.
