So I upgraded Jennifer to Mac OS X 10.3 by cloning Angela and changing a few parameters. BIND took a reboot and Apache had a slight misconfiguration but they were easy. Postfix totally didn't work and it took me three hours to get it working. Eventually I tracked it down to some sort of file problem and doing a clean reconfiguration fixed it. For a while there Postfix was eating my emails, though it was mostly spam so no problem.

Yesterday Shannon, Pick, Donald, and I played Mystery Rummy. It's a Rummy-like game based on finding Jack the Ripper. The flavoring is superficial and you can easily ignore it. But it was a fun game with well-made cards and an exciting finish. You have to play several rounds (I think we played eight) to get a winner (you need 100 points). Pick and I were way behind through five games. And then Donald threw a game to Pick to keep Shannon from winning. Then Pick one a game in like two turns (lucky draw) to suddenly pull ahead. And then he won another game to win the match.
We went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Oakland, near Jack Londdon Square. Just Pick and his wife Wendy, Donald, and I were there. Good food though Donald's entree arrived quite late. Then ice cream afterward. It was nice. Wendy is pretty cool. Never really spent much time around her but she can totally handle herself around gamer geeks and can hold up an interesting conversation.

Woo and Fulton didn't show up. And I really wanted to run DC Heroes so I ran just with Donald. I actually couldn't think of an adventure concept until I was driving to Donald's apartment from Pick's house. It was a short, two hour adventure but it went well and I think it was maybe the best 1-on-1 runs I've ever done. Lots of subplots and a tough main plot that Donald somehow found a way to solve.
