Saturday I went to an ex-West Coast Beauty Supply lunch. Jessie Lee, Chris Chin-Wong, Rita, Peter Huang, and Steve were there. It was at Ton Kiang restaurant in San Francisco. Very good Dim Sum. News, let's see... Bea Cary married Brian Isabelle and she's pregnant with his kid (Bea has two boys, I think the oldest is college age). West Coast was bought by some Texas company, big changes are expected and people are looking for new jobs. Rita is retiring from West Coast at the end of this week.

Then the gamers helped Fulton move back. It was mostly just the big furniture so a lot less work. And yet it seemed worse than the first time. Being full didn't help and we also didn't have Shannon. We played a game of Diceland Space (Donald's copy) and had some ice cream. I ran DC Heroes which included a big pointless fight because the heroes were just doggedly going down the obvious route. Then a couple of hours of DCH Cage Match and I got home at 04:00.
Last Thursday I went to the East Bay Mac Users Group meeting at the Berkeley Main Library. BMUG, the old Berkeley Mac Users Group, is long dead and ebMUG wants to fill in that hole. ebMUG is composed of some consultants who teamed up for this project and their main rallying cry is no dues because they feel that is the big reason that BMUG died (and BMUG did have a lot of financial problems). It was a nice meeting with 20-30 people and Roxio presented Toast which actually is quite a cool program.

Dave Sweet's nephew Tim (his older sister Nancy's second son) got into a bad accident I guess Saturday afternoon near Tucson. Dave and family drove there Saturday night. Tim is no longer in the ICU and I guess he was talking. He lost his spleen (which regulates the creation of antibodies -- although not critical it's still fairly important), has a broken rib, scarred in the face, and other injuries. Dave seemed to be ok, but it's hard to tell over instant messaging. I know I'd be pretty freaked.
