Didn't get anything done at work today. I spent the day reading up on GURPS and finishing up the Skill conversions. Everything is coming along fine and I feel that the conversion does a good job of making a GURPS-legal character from a MechWarrior character.

Of course I have so much left to do at work. Since it's a three day weekend I should spend a few hours getting some work done from home. It's highly unlikely because I'm just a lazy ass. Still, I need to get cracking otherwise I'm no good at my job.

It's been very hot the last couple of days. Upstairs just retains the heat. Downstairs is much cooler and sometimes I sleep downstairs. With Kooma around I'm not going to sleep downstairs because she wakes up early. Besides, it's kind messy down there.

I really need to clean my house properly. Haven't vacuumed the place in a couple of months and the dirt is starting to pile up. Lately I've not been anything constructive done. It's really just a matter of doing one thing then the next and so forth and not letting distractions get in the way.

Speaking of distractions, we played Diablo 2 tonight. Christopher's friend left early and my brother took off before midnight. We did a couple more quests in Nightmare difficulty then went back to Normal difficulty and did the Cow Level, where I went up 14 levels, and we did Kagero's Dungeon, which is kind of boring and long. Once again, Fulton and Woo have great characters while my character is merely ok. We played until 03:00 -- both the extra levels took us well over two hours to finish. They're big and we got lots of loot to divvy up.
One thing Kooma does, besides clean up a lot, is cook a lot of food.  Like two dishes a meal. I really have to make myself stop eating so much. You know I really have to get my life in order. Willpower has taken a nosedive in the last year. Got to make myself actually do things that I'm supposed to do.

Rats, still didn't get any DVDs in the mail. I have nothing to do this weekend. What am I saying? I have lots of stuff to do. Now I just have nothing to distract like what usually happens. Everything is so freaking insidious!

The Fall television season is starting next week. More or less since the networks stagger their new shows more nowadays. Ok, it's time for me to drop a bunch of television watching. It takes too much time and I have to be more constructive. So what do I keep?

Top five shows: Enterprise, JAG, Navy NCIS, Stargate SG-1, Gilmore Girls. Two more shows: Alias and West Wing. Seven shows, though not one per night. That leaves out Crossing Jordan (for an ensemble show it's fairly good, but that's not why I was watching it), Rescue Me (which is ok but too soap opera for my tastes), ER (which I was only watching for John Carter, but he's barely in the show anymore), Justice League Unlimited (nice but too many heroes), and the new shows Veronica Mars, Joey, and the Inside which I was going to try out.

If I had my druthers I'd cut off another couple of shows. But that's enough decision making for today. Of course I'm going to be watching more football this year so it's kind of a wash.
