K. International alliances, reach out to Muslim world.
B. Afghanistan, Iraq, create free nations.

2. Will Kerry's election increase chances of a future 911?
B. (Avoided question)
K. Will hunt down terrorists, would not have invaded Iraq.

3. What colossal misjudgments has Bush made?
K. Spurned UN in favor of direct invasion of Iraq.
B. Kerry agreed with me in 2002 and 2003, Hussein ignored UN.

4. Going after Bin Laden vs going after Hussein?
B. The US can do both, Iraq is important anti-terrorism target.
K. Bush diverted forces from Afghanistan to Iraq, no plan to win peace.
B. Kerry voted for this, saying wrong war is a bad message to send.
K. We'll succeed in Iraq (does not specify how).

5. Specifically, how will you improve homeland security in US?
K. Bush not spending Federal money on State projects.
K. Spend more money on cops, firemen, protecting chemical stocks.
B. How is he going to pay for all of this?
B. $30B to Homeland Security, modernizing borders.
B. Best defense is to stay on offense.


6. What criteria to determine when to recall troops from Iraq?
B. Train native troops.
B. When Iraqi leader agrees, elections, stable country.

B. Harps on "don't send wrong message" to troops and rest of world.
K. I was wrong voting for war, will correct that mistake.

7. Are Americans dying in Iraq for a mistake?
K. No. But Bush has run Iraqi affair without proper planning.

B. We have allies: UK and Poland. What message are you sending?
B. Countries will not follow us if you're sending "wrong war" msg.
K. Only UK and Australia were initial allies.
B. Kerry keeps forgetting other allies, why are you denigrating them?

8. There was a miscalculation of conditions in post-war Iraq?
B. Victory so rapid that lots of loyalists escaped and went underground.
B. Don't send mixed signals. It's hard work to reform a country.
K. Bush would have gone in even knowing Iraq was no "threat".
K. What about North Korea with nuclear weapons?

9. President lying about Iraq?
K. Haven't said lying, Bush has not been candid.
K. President broke promises for how Iraq would be handled.
B. Kerry supported war in 2002-3. You can't lead by changing position.
K. Hussein was a threat, Bush chose wrong way to disarm him.
B. Kerry changes positions!
