So, now I'm a member of the ebMUG leadership committee. Not that it's really hard to get in or anything. Apparently they were impressed with my meeting notes -- actually more like relieved that someone was finally doing it after asking for over a year. After the meeting we went to the Broken Rack for drinks and snacks. Mostly chatted around and talked about upcoming guests and current ebMUG issues. There is also a leadership meeting two weeks after the main meeting. Not sure if I'll be able to go as I'm starting to miss more basketball. May have to move basketball to Monday and Wednesday.

Returned home late. For once I got to make my own dinner. Warmed up leftovers with fried eggs and rice, but it's the kind of food I like. Kooma has been making fish all the time, which I'm ok with, it just seems like dining is a bit too formal for me. Actually, steamed fish with oil and soy sauce comes out pretty well. I've found that a lot of fish doesn't come out tasty with my cooking methods but you can steam whole fish various fishes that I would not want to pan fry.

Major League Baseball playoffs have been going on for a week or two. Currently we're into the League Championship Series. In the National League we have the St Louis Cardinals vs the Houston Astros with a 2-1 Cardinals lead. In the American League we have the New York Yankees vs the Boston Read Sox with the Yankees leading 3-0. Other than that I'm not really interested. I guess I don't want the Yankees to win the World Series since they've already won it at least once in the last 10 years.
Apparently last week I did week 6's NFL picks instead of week 5. Must have been in a hurry to go to DaveCon. So my record remains 3-14 as we go to week 6. Looking at the matchups, I'm sticking with my picks from last week:

1. 49ers (1-4) at Jets (4-0): Even with last week's win, I really don't think the 49ers can go to New Jersey and beat the unbeaten Jets.

2. Steelers (4-1) at Cowboys (2-2): Even if the Steelers had lost last week and the Cowboys had won, I'd still pick the Steelers.

3. Vikings (3-1) at Saints (2-3): Vikings escaped with an overtime win against Houston. The Saints lost by a field goal to Tampa Bay. I think the Vikings will be a bit overconfident and the Saints will be hungry to beat someone. Saints to win.

4. Buccaneers (1-4) at Rams (3-2): Both teams won last week. A three point win vs the Saints doesn't mean the Bucs have turned their season around. I think the Rams will bring them back to Earth.

In tonight's Diablo game we had Donald with us for the last time. I don't think we made a good impression. There are just so many new things with the Nezeramontias mod and Donald's character had to be rushed through Nightmare just to catch up to where we were, so he has a very weak character. We killed Duriel before Donald left. Then we did about a third of Act III before I was too tired to continue.
