Scoring:
1. War in Iraq: I approve of it, I wanted Hussein out. I don't care if
we
had international support or not. I applaud Bush for
showing guts.
Bush +1.
2. Military: Stop using Guards/Reserves as virtually active duty
soldiers.
What we're doing to Reservists is really not nice.
Kerry +1.
3. No New Taxes Pledge: Unrealistic. Should not have fallen for bait.
Take a look at previous Presidents. No New Taxes is
really hard.
Kerry -1.
4. Constitutional Right to Abortion: WTF? I'm all pro-choice, but
Consitutional right? It's murder plain and simple.
Kerry -1.
5. Style: Bush was on the defensive most of the night. Kerry was a
little
too vague at times but remained confident.
Kerry +1.
Final Score: Bush +1, Kerry +0.
In general Kerry almost breaks through time and time again, but then he
ends up saying something that I can't possibly agree with. Bush took
the safe route and rarely made sweeping commitments.
Current score: Bush/Cheney +2, Kerry +0.
At this point Kerry needs to nail the third presidential debate to beat
Bush in my book.
