[Kevin] How close do you think your characterization of Callisto comes to the one shown on "Xena: Warrior Princess"? If there are differences, why did you include/exclude them in your characterization?

[Wight] Hehe, I write her based on *my* interpretation of the character. I don't include or exclude anything (about her character, that is. I do exclude certain events which I think are inconsistencies). So for me, I'd say the characterization is pretty damn close. But I know I have a really weird interpretation of the character (for one, I like her because she is evil, not in spite of it), so I figure others will probably think I might stray from time to time.

[Kevin] When you write Callisto stories, how important is it to keep within the Hercules/Xena Universe as depicted in both TV shows?

[Wight] Within the universe ? Very important. But if the show-writers write something which I think doesn't add up, I conveniently close my eyes and deny that it ever happened :). I don't like stories which take Callisto away from the Hercules/Xena universe and set her in another (like the present, for instance), so you won't see me writing that.

[Kevin] Do you read any other Callisto fan fiction? How about other fan fiction in general? Is there any fan fiction that has influenced your writings? How has it influenced your writings.

[Wight] I read most of the Callisto fanfic that appears on Tower's website. Other fanfic, yes, I read it if it is sent my way. But I don't go searching for it.

Fanfic that has influenced my writing ? No. There are a lot of really good stories out there, but I can't really say any of them influenced my own.

[Kevin] Which is your personal favorite Callisto story that you have written? What makes it your favorite story?

[Wight] That I have written ? I'd have to go with Last Light. Why is it my favorite ? Cause it deals directly with Death, my favorite subject :)

[Kevin] If you had to do it all over again, are there any stories that you would change substantially? What would you change?

[Wight] Nope. I write those stories to have fun. I had fun writing all of them, so they accomplished their goal :)

[Kevin] Who do you write for? Who is the intended audience for your Callisto stories?

[Wight] Me. No really. I love to write, I find it really relaxing and calming, and it allows me to put myself in someone else shoes for a while (and leave my own behind).
