View from the Top is a comedic movie about a white trash girl who fulfills her dream of becoming a flight attendant. Gwyneth Paltrow stars as Donna Jensen, a girl who dreams of leaving her small town leads to her aspirations to be a flight attendant. It's a glamorous life to a small-town girl. Being in a different city each night. Seeing the world.

Her first job is a bit disappointing as she works for a small commuter flight airline. There she meets Christine (Christina Applegate) and Sherry (Kelly Preston). Together the three apply to Royalty Airlines where Donna and Christine are accepted. At Royalty Donna meets her idol, the great stewardess Sally Weston (Candice Bergen).

Anyway, Donna has some disappointments along the way. She has a boyfriend (Mark Ruffalo) and develops a relationship. And then when her career picks up again she leaves her man behind and finds out that it's lonely at the top. So the decision comes down to her job as an international airline stewardess or being with the man she loves.

It's not a ha-ha funny movie. The fun is watching these characters interact and be serious while being funny. Paltrow pulls off going from being a white trash girl wearing a bikini or leather hotpants to a sophisticated professional stewardess. And the accents! Wow.

Overall it's an entertaining movie.
