Alex Hitchens (Will Smith) or Hitch is a dating consultant.
Specifically he advises hopeless men on how to attract the woman
they're infatuated with. It's a matter of confidence and paying
attention and being, well, not so much like a typical guy.
Hitch is hired by a bumbling junior accountant, Albert (Kevin James).
Albert is hopelessly in love with his client, the beautiful model
Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). This will be Hitch's greatest challenge
yet but he sees that Albert is serious and Hitch is nothing if not a
romantic at heart.
Meanwhile Hitch meets a beautiful woman of his own, gossip columnist
Sara (Eva Mendes). He's suave, alluring, and totally catches her eye.
And theyre dates turn into disasters. It is here that we have the main
plot of the movie -- making a relationship out of two people who have
been deeply hurt before.
The big obstacle in the movie becomes Sara's professional life. She
finds out who Hitch is and, because of one bad informant, believes that
Hitch's job is to help sleazy guys have sex with pretty women.
Everything falls apart, it's a front page story, Hitch is ruined. But
it works out in the end.

I thought it was a good movie up
until about the crisis. And then it kind of hurried along and tried to
tie up the two main romances quickly before the movie ended. Really I
thought both romantic plots were worthy of a feature film but having
both really made it crowded so they should have concentrated more on
one or the other.
