From my
original notes, mostly.
Objective: Once again, this is a light-hearted run designed to be
funny, not dangerous. No fighting or spellcasting is needed.
Aura: The Aura in New Cirra is equivalent to 1 Dominion. In our
campaign that translates to a -5 penalty. It is not a Dominion, aura
though, and interferes with all spellcasting (hermetic, faerie,
demonic, angelic, etc.). {It's a Reason aura}
Language: I didn't bother with language this time.
Getting There
Leicky needs to film a pilot for a tv game show. She invites the mages
to be contestants. There are no obstacles to get to New Cirra. Before,
the tunnels had magical traps to test the unwary. The last party
complained, so The Goddess had the traps removed.
The Game Show
Players will be divided up into teams of two. There are three rounds,
with each round being worth more points so that no matter how badly a
team does in rounds 1 and 2, they still have a chance to win.
Round 1 (Newlywed Game)
Give one player in each team question set 1, the other player gets
question set 2. Each player has to write down what their partner will
answer for each question. Each correct answer is worth 10 points for
set 1, 20 points for set 2.
Question Set 1:
What's their favorite spell?
What's their least favorite technique?
Who's their greatest enemy?
What's their most annoying attribute?
What side of their body do they sleep on?
Wine sipper or beer swigger?
Question Set 2:
Who's their favorite grog?
Who's their favorite Archmage?
Who's their favorite major demon?
Who's their favorite faerie lord?
What's their favorite dessert?
What's their favorite sexual position?
Round 2 (Win, Lose or Draw)
Each player gets a random card, which says what they need to draw or
pantomime. Their partner tries to guess what the card says. Each card
is worth 30 points, 15 if mostly right, 5 if slightly right.
Pantomimes:
- A wolf chases down and kills a sheep. The wolf feasts.
- A miracle.
- A small tree flls on a badger. The badger is
frustrated.
- A burglar climbs up to the seconds story of a home. A
guard spots him. The burglar flees but is shot by an arrow.
- A woodscutter is chopping down some trees. A bear
attacks him. He
runs into a cave, where the bear corners him. Bravely, he fights the
bear and defeats it, although he's hurt badly. The woodscutter
celebrates his victory.
- A catfish caught by a fisherman using hook and rod.
- A meteor strikes and levels a village. People are
incinerated. The dust cloud covers a hundred mile radius.
- A Bjornaer finds out he has the heart beast of a
turtle. He turns
into a turtle and frolics for a while. But when he tries to turn back
to human he can't.
Draws:
- God strikes down a sinner for his sins of lust,
avarice, and pride.
- Two mages engage in a Muto Herbam certamen.
- A righteous crusader on a warhorse charging a Moslem
horde led by a demon.
- Dogs and cats living together, flaunting the natural
order.
- An angel fighting a fire elemental.
- A group of Moslem adventurers finding the Holy Shroud
(that Christ was wrapped in when he died).
- A glutonous friar extorting money from a poor peasant
village.
- A demonic mage casting a spell on a troop of
warriors, turning them to stone.
- A Corsican pirate ship attacking a Moslem trader.
- The hanging of a bandit leader.
- A plague of locusts eating a farmer's crop.
- Fear.
