years
as the demand for the delicacy has increased. With the troubles
on the nearby world of Rochelle, Alhena has become the dominant
exporter of Raxxes throughout the region. The planet has exported
over 5 million Raxxes in the last month alone.
Melissa Steiner Launches Adopt-a-Pet Campaign

Archon-Designate Melissa Steiner launched her "Adopt a
Pet"
campaign today. The young Landgrave von Bremen has arranged for
several travelling animal adoption centers to tour the realm.
Melissa wants each family to consider adopting a pet, which she
says "enriches our lives and teaches kids responsibility".

Cartoon Channel Begins Hanna-Barbera Marathon

The Canopian Cartoon Network began its round-the-clock
marathon of all Hanna-Barbera cartoons. The 2-d cartoon programs
include such classics as "The Flintstones", "Scooby Doo", and
"The Jetsons". The marathon is scheduled to run for the next
two weeks.

New Avalon, New Avalon Combat Region,

Lyran Mechwarriors started their first classes today at
the
prestigious New Avalon Institute of Science. This first class
is composed of officers from the Lyran Guards and Lyran Regulars
BattleMech units. Corresponding military officers from the AFFS
are attending various Lyran military academies.
