2nd Sword of Light in a brief clash early this month. Colonel
Ardan Sortek and Leftenant Andrew Redburn participated in the
defense of Pacifica. Both Davion officers are on a goodwill tour
to improve Davion-Steiner relations.

Philip Capet defeated Allen Fitz and four other
contenders
to claim the Solaris Championship, left vacant by previous
Solaris Champion Duchess Selena Kyle. The duel, conducted in
Iron Mountain, took over an hour of suspenseful action as the
contenders hunted each other throughout the caverns and tunnels
of the Kuritan Arena.

Mechwarrior Peter Armstrong was killed when the Griffin
he
was piloting blew up from extensive damaged received in the
course of a Solaris Duel. His death marks the third consecutive
Mechwarrior killed in a duel against Justin Xiang. All three
Mechwarriors hailed from the Federated Suns.

Ike and Billy Clanton were taken into custody following
a
dramatic gunfight in the town of Tombstone. Members of a small
mercenary unit fought the Clanton Gang, killing Frank McLaury
and wounding Tom McLaury, who escaped. The prisoners will be
moved to Dodge City, where they will be tried for their crimes.
