Joint NEDA Exercises Begin

Elements of the Yorii and Asta Defense Forces are
participating
with the Altair Defense Force in a joint preparedness exercise
being held in the deserts near Bonanza. This is the first joint
exercise for the Near Earth Defense Association, which currently
consists of the three worlds. Duchess Selena Kyle is personally
observing the exercises.
Wedding Preparations Underway

Massive preparations have begun to prepare Terra for
the
upcoming wedding of Prince Hanse Davion to Archon-Designate
Melissa Steiner this coming August. Artists from all over the
Inner Sphere have come to Terra to produce masterpieces for
the festivities. A whole complex of buildings will be built
just for the wedding, which will be biggest event of the last
hundred years.

Snow Falls on Tarawa Outpost

In an unusual meteorological display, Tarawa Outpost
experienced
its first snowfall on record. The small town, which rarely gets any
precipitation at all, was coated with 3.6 inches of snow which fell
overnight. This is the first snowfall in this area since at least
when the town was founded over 350 years ago.
Kuritan Forces Surrender

Draconis Combine
The Ryuken Regiments on Misery surrendered to Wolf's
Dragoons
in the culmination of over a month of intense warfare. Colonel
Minobu Tetsuhara commited sepukku from the dishonor. Battle losses
ended up at an average of almost 80% for both sides. The Dragoons
currently hold the Combine world of Misery unopposed.
