Bey To Start New Dynasty

Countess Selah Bey, adopted daughter of Count and Countess Van Vaal, announced that she will start her own dynasty when she succeeds to the rulership of Albert Falls. Lord Simon Van Vaal is the last of his line, and an unfortunate BattleMech accident has prevented him from fathering any children.

The Van Vaals have approved of Lady Bey's plan for the new dynasty. The change of dynasties will be the first time in Free Worlds League history that a change has come about in a peaceful and planned transition.

"I promise to continue the progressive programs instituted by my father," declared Lady Bey. "Albert Falls will continue to remain a staunch supporter of the Mariks. My hope is that I will be ready to lead our planet when the time comes."

In a bold early morning attack, Royal Mech Forces captured the leadership of the Bonanza Independent Government. Two Royal Mech Lances conducted a high-altitude combat drop into the BIG head- quarters. The Royals seized the headquarters and held it from BIG counterattacks until they were relieved by the main Royal forces.

Lord Muirvald Cooke and the rest of the upstart government is now under arrest. The 3rd Altairan Militia will remain in Bonanza to supervise the relief efforts to rebuild the city. It is not known at this time what will happen to the rebel government.

"It is now time to put this incident aside," said Lady Selena Kyle, Duchess of Altair, in a world-wide telecasted speech. "The misguided people of Bonanza have returned to our fold, it is up to you to embrace them and help them return to the correct path. Put your hatred aside and help me help these unfortunate souls."

Galahad Games to Start Next Week

The Third Galahad Games is scheduled to begin next week, three days after the wedding on Terra. The 5th Davion Guards RCT, stationed on Lee, will be one of the units participating in the yearly exercises. This year's exercises will concentrate on refining the skills of Capellan March units, who's units have traditionally been seen as the least capable of the three Marches.

"We think that these year's games will go more smoothly than previously," stated Field Marshal Ran Felsner, Commander of the all Davion Guards units. "Procedures have been greatly improved to ensure the safety of the men and women participating in the Games. These exercises will give the Capellan March troops invaluable experience in large scale operations."

Grand Wedding Tomorrow

The wedding of Lady Melissa Steiner to Prince Hanse Davion is scheduled for tomorrow. Leaders from all of the Inner Sphere States are present to witness the historic ceremony, which promises to unite the Federated Suns and the Lyran Commonwealth and forever change the balance of power.

"The Capellan Confederation has only well wishes for the happy couple," remarked Chancellor Maximilian Liao to reporters. "We, of course, have concerns that Lady Steiner is too young to be getting married to such a man as Hanse Davion. But, as the saying goes, love is blind."

Captain-General Janos Marik, of the Free Worlds League, has only well wishes for the future husband and wife. "I hope that Hanse and Melissa have many years of happiness and may God bless them with healthy children. My wish is that they cherish each other, for true joy can be fleeting. If only my late wife Hilda were here to witness this occassion."
