Summary
On Galtor, Izzy takes his students and drops them deep in an uncharted
forest. He expects them to get back out to complete their Survival
training. Two of them don't make it back. Izzy organizes the search
efforts, which finds one body.
Back on Altair, Selena decides to go to Solaris for some recreation.
She takes Clyde, Maya, and Rufus so they can participate in some of
the 'Mech combats. On the way to Solaris, Selena has the Blowfish Techs
continue to work on her King Crab. They take out the LRM15 and one
Jump Jet.
On Solaris, the group is able to get into a match against a good team.
Selena, Clyde, and Maya drive their King Crab, Griffin, and Hunchback,
respectively. They face a Capellan team composed of a Catapult, an
Ostol,
a Hunchback, and an UrbanMech in the Federated Suns Arena. This is a
simulated damage match. Due to some really bad luck on the part of
the other team, the three Blowfish are able to rip through the
opposition
while taking only minor armor damage.
After the fight, Candace Liao invites the four to a dinner she is
hosting
that night in her mansion. The foursome arrive, Rufus escorting Selena,
Clyde escorting Michelle, and Maya going alone, missing Izzy terribly.
Selena talks to Candace, who proposes an exchange of military observers
between her St. Ives Compact and Altair, to which Selena agrees to.
Clyde tries to talk to the Duchess of St. Ives but he starts to make a
fool of himself and Michelle ushers him away. During the party/dinner,
Rufus puts the moves on Selena, who lets him kiss her goodnight at the
end of the night.
The next day, Selena decides to establish a presence on Solaris. She
will
start a stable and rents a floor in the Hotel Dragon. Clyde licenses
the
Blowfish logo for use in shirts and flags to some local businesses.
Michelle hires another RG infantry squad. Selena looks for Mechwarriors
for the Blowfish but doesn't find any to her exacting standards.
