Encounter 1:
Robotics Symposium
Riff
"The United States Government has organized a Robotics Symposium in
order to exchange ideas on creating robots to help against the Axis
Powers. Experts in the fledging field of robotics, from Australia to
the United Kingdom, have come to Island City to participate. Being the
most famous robotics expert in the US, you have been assigned the task
of overseeing the organization of the symposium."
Some things Riff has to decide:
Meeting place for symposium
Accomodations
Security

Keynote Speaker
Some of the attendees:
- Doctor Philippe Glasee (France)
-- Big-Slow Moving Robots: Fad or the Future?
- Doctor Artie Gordon (Australia)
-- Steam-powered Robots
- Professor Ulan Huminitz (UK) --
Transistor Circuits for Robotic Control
- Brahman Indra Mahatmu (India) --
Occult-powered Robots
- Professor Charlie Van Den Haas
(South Africa) -- Securing Robots: Methods to Keep Your Robots Under
Your Control

Encounter 2:
Rise of the Robots
Riff
"The conference is going well. Some wackos but some people with
genuinely new ideas. From the looks of it though, you and Professor
Huminitz are the two best roboticists in the conference. Arguably he
might be even better than you in this field, but his knowledge of laser
technology is woefully ignorant."
Professor Huminitz will engage Riff in a "friendly" debate, trying to
prove his superiority in all things. Riff can try to hold his own (and
this should be worth a +1/2 subplot award if he comes out on top or at
least equal). Their conversation is interrupted when two man-sized
robots attack the conference.
Robot phrases (delivered in a mechanical monotone):
"Surrender humans or prepare to
be destroyed!"
When a scientist runs away:
"The humanoid must not escape!"
When a scientist is captured:
"Got the humanoid!"
When Riff uses his Force Field:
"Chicken! Fight like a robot!"
"Ha ha ha ha"
The robots will try to subdue everyone, then get away with Prof Van Den
Haas. Once Riff shows his muscle, one robot will delay him while the
other runs. Note that, for the Ultra-Humanite's master plan, both
robots are supposed to be captured.
