Introduction

October, 1942. The Republican city convention for their nominee in the November election is the true mayoral race for a city that has been Republican since the first official mayor. This year is a contentious than most, with Mayor Huernot being challenged by Stanislaus Bridge and Ken Shade. Police have received threats against all three candidates and have asked the Island City Heroes to take over security. But will three heroes be enough to fend off the Koas?

This adventure is based on DC Heroes #235: Taking Out The Trash.

Subplots

Ghost Girl

As the most eligible girl on the island, Penelope is asked to hold a charity ball during the convention. Charity ball on Wednesday (Day 2). Some ideas:
  • various guys ask her to dance, some go too far
  • women are jealous at Penelope, especially Sandra Knight
  • will Penelope stay and be seen or slip away to fight crime?
Rad

Rad is being blackmailed by Louis Conrad. This will be explained later.
