555/1/64. Today we met two aged scholars, arguing, as scholars are wont to do. These two, Bert and Ernie, were trying to decide whether you describe a world by its physical features or by the people who live there. So if we were to describe the next continent, would we describe it in terms of its mountains and valleys, its rivers and lakes, or would we describe it in terms of what nations are found there, what cities abound, what peoples live there? A tough question and one that they wanted an impartial judge to arbitrate.

Not wanting to stay around for a few days to hear to doddering old men argue if the world was flat or round, I of course declined. Surprisingly, Tev, Tok and Krelga wanted to listen to the geezers. Always hungry for more knowledge I guess. Meanwhile I convinced Timroth and Nakaro to come with me to Tenenbrea lovely Tenenbrea. Home of my heart and the most beautiful city on this land, if you don't mind a biased opinion. I really wanted to visit Ma and Da and my brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and cousins and nieces and nephews-- it's not the largest clan, but it's still my clan.

We will leave tomorrow and be back in a couple of weeks, hopefully by then the other three will have settled the argument.

555/1/69. Tenenbrea sweet Tenenbrea, how I've missed you so. Your streets and buildings are a welcome sight to a weary traveler. Tenenbrea beautiful Tenenbrea, how I wish I didn't have to go. But go I must, destiny awaits. Da is still his old cantankerous self, enjoying his retirement and taking care of his garden. Ma knitted a couple of sweaters for me, and although she knows well that I'm on this vitally important mission, she still asks me if I've met a nice young man I can settle down with. Sheesh.
Only my little sis Mira was around. My brothers are still in the Cold Army and my other sisters had gone to Xupal to trade furs. Mira is growing up fast. Already she can almost hold a spear in her small arms. She'll be a fine warrior, that one. I couldn't stay long, but even this few hours have been precious. I hope I see them again.

Since Nakaro and Timroth were afraid to go into Tenenbrea, I also bought supplies. Blue, red, and yellow paint for Nakaro, small bells for Nakaro, lots of food for us all, 10 yards of yellow cloth for Tok, a couple of pikes to replace the ones we've lost, an extra great axe for Krelga. The only thing I didn't find was armor for Tev and spices for Timroth. Oh well, it was still a good shopping trip.

555/1/74. I woke up back in camp, still a bit sore from the fight. I hate getting knocked out. We were on our way back to the others and stopped for the night on a small mound. I was on watch, since I'm the only one who can see in the dark, and I noticed something strange about the ground near us.

Someone was digging his way out! I woke up the others, then turned to face the intruder, who turned out to be some sort of Zombie. Hack and stab it I did, but it refused to die. And then it struck me and I went down. Good thing Razors don't bleed or I could have been done for.

But apparently Nakaro and Timroth were able to get us all away, as we are back with the others. Krelga is all excited and wants to tell us about all the things she's learned. She showed me this map that the two ancients drew, but in my dazed state it just looks like a happy face to me. We'll probably stay here another day before continuing onwards. Where to, I don't know and right now I don't care. I just need to get some sleep.
